Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the DiamondGablePress.com website uses the personal data it collects when you use this website.

What Data Do We Collect?

Personal Information. If you fill out a form on this website to receive emailed notices of future book reviews, free books, discounted books, or other promotional item(s), you provide your (a) name and (b) email address. These two pieces of information are the only bits of Personal Information we request, collect, and retain. You don’t have to give us this Personal Information, but by declining to fill out the form we won’t be able to send you the book reviews or other item(s) you requested.

Reader Comments. If you use the About web form to leave a book title you recommend we read and review, we will or won’t include your name in the review based on your preference. If we misunderstand your preference or if you change your mind, you may ask to have your name added or removed by emailing [email protected].

Demographic Information. Third Party plugins or services may record your IP address to create a general profile of your IP address’s city, state, country, age range, interests, purchases, etc. This generic information is not linked to your (a) name or (b) email address.

How Do We Collect Your Data?

You provide your Personal Information when you type your information into a web form on this website.
You provide your Demographic Information when you interact with the website by ‘clicking’ on menus, links, and images.

How Will We Use Your Data?

We use your Personal Information to:

  • Send you the information or item(s) you requested.
  • Subscribe you to the book review list you requested.
  • Send you offers on future books by Diamond Gable Press.
  • Create a “look alike” group of individuals with interests like yours. A third-party service, such as Facebook, may examine a list of M Brown subscribers to create a list of Facebook users they think will have a similar interest in Sweet Futuristic Romance books. This use does not give Facebook permission to keep your Personal Information or use it to contact you.

We will not sell, swap, or give your Personal Information to anyone. We always try to comply with applicable laws as we understand them. Let us know if we mess-up and we’ll try to fix it.

How Do We Store Your Data?

We use a third-party subscription service to store and manage your Personal Information and use it to email updates about new reviews. Jetpack is a software services product of Automattic, owners of WordPress. One of Jetpack’s features is its subscription service. To set up and process subscriptions, it uses the subscriber’s email address, as well as the ID of the post or comment (depending on the specific subscription being processed). In the event of a new subscription being initiated, it also collects some basic server data, including all of the subscribing user’s HTTP request headers, the IP address from which the subscribing user is viewing the page, and the URI which was given in order to access the page (REQUEST_URI and DOCUMENT_URI). This server data is used for the exclusive purpose of monitoring and preventing abuse and spam. Functionality cookies are set for a duration of 347 days to remember a visitor’s post subscription choices if, in fact, they have an active subscription.

Direct Marketing

A couple times a year we might email an offer of other books, newsletters, groups, or products you might like. Each offer will include an ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the email if you feel you are receiving too many of these.

Affiliate Marketing

This site may contain affiliate links to book retailers we recommend, such as Amazon, iBooks, Kobo, and others. If you click on these book links for more information or to buy a book, the affiliate company may offer Diamond Gable Press a small referral commission. This commission does not increase your cost.

Cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your computer to collect and report generic Demographic Information containing internet log and visitor behavior information. For more information about cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.

Third-party services embedded in this website may collect generic Demographic Information, set cookies, and/or send that generic information to their database to assist Diamond Gable Press in finding new visitors who may want its book(s), book review(s), and/or other promotional item(s).

  • Google Analytics. Every page of this website contains a Google Analytics tracking code to identify and record user interactions, such as what pages you viewed, how long you stayed on the page, what page you viewed next, etc. Google Analytics may use cookies and collect generic browsing behavior and traffic information, such as URL, ISP, IP address, entry page, exit page, and other statistical, demographic, or aggregated information. Google is not able to link this Demographic Information with the Personal Information you provided on this site.
  • Facebook Pixel. A Facebook pixel appears on every page of this site to help meus track responses to Facebook advertising campaigns.
  • reCAPTCHA. We have implemented reCAPTCHA v3 on this site to protect the site from spam and malicious acts. Use of reCAPTCHA v3 is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. reCAPTCHA works by collecting hardware and software information, such as device and application data, then sends that data to Google for analysis. Google does not associate this Demographic Information with your Personal Information (your name and email).
  • Affiliate Marketing. When you click on a product sold by an affiliate company, such as Amazon, the affiliate company may place a cookie on your computer that may offer Diamond Gable Press a small referral commission. This commission does not increase your cost.
